Before Enrollment
In order to help parents make the most effective educational choice for their child, we would like to tell you what kind of student usually does well at Cornerstone. Because we are a covenant school, it is essential that at least one parent is a committed Christian who is actively participating in the ministry of a local evangelical congregation. This alone gives us the necessary spiritual and legal authority to train the child as a whole person - body, soul, and spirit.

It is possible that even some children who meet this criterion will not be successful at Cornerstone. In general, the students who do well here are average or above average in intelligence, active in a church with their parents, at least somewhat intellectually curious, and trained to respond appropriately to authority. It is not a part of Cornerstone's present mission to provide services needed by students with special emotional or intellectual needs. We do not demand that a child be a perfect product before we enroll him; otherwise we would not need to exist. But these are the characteristics that generally recommend a student as a good candidate for the kind of educational community we have established here.
